Manipuri's silk scarves are hand-printed by Japanese craftsmen, and then carefully finished one by one using a method called French winding so that the edges are rolled on the front side. The fabric is neither too thin nor too thick, and the lustrous sheen of the silk brings out the vivid colors of the pattern, so we use very smooth 12-fold twill weave silk.
