Located in the Burgundy region of France, Fontenay Abbey is the oldest surviving Cistercian abbey. Its simple architecture, free from any extravagant ornamentation, its carefully tended herb garden, and its simple yet beautiful glass windows make for a truly unique piece of design. Reflecting on the lives of the people who lived side by side with nature throughout its long and arduous history, we were reminded of the beauty of flowers and incorporated this sentiment for the richness of nature into the design.
Manipuri scarves are individually hand-printed by Japanese artisans, with the edges hand-rolled. The fabric is made from 12 momme twill silk. It's neither too thin nor too thick, and is incredibly smooth. The silk's lustrous sheen adds a touch of brightness to any color, making any outfit look even more vibrant.
